王菲可算得上是我最喜欢的国内女歌手，其歌曲婉转动听，柔和优美，惊天动地泣鬼神（夸张点不过分）


王菲的歌唱实力及其在亚洲的影响力，是史克威尔看中王菲的重要原因，加上1999年王菲凭借重庆森林成功抢滩日本市场，在日本本土也有着影响力，于是史克威尔力邀王菲主唱了<FINAL FANTASY 8>的主题曲《Eyes on me》。这张单曲亦曾在日本Oricon单曲榜上占据第9位置，是有始以来，华语歌手在此单榜上的最好成绩！而在香港中文电台2000年外语流行歌曲选举里，《Eyes on me》更是获得“全年最受欢迎十大英文金曲”，亦大大为本地歌手争光。

勿庸置疑的，王菲的这张EP单曲是中文唱片出版界之中，首张中日合作制作的游戏单曲CD。这张单曲CD一推出，就在日本唱片市场蝉联第一名达八个星期之久。
