I am a Napoleonic fan from China , and now the administrator of China Napoleonic Society with a website "bbs.napolun.com"(napolun is Chinese Pinyin of Napoleon). There are considerable number of Napoleonic fans in my country, and some of them have rich knoeledge of the greatest emperor, especially those mastering French and English. But most of us can only comprehend him through Chinese publications, which are usually considered in a poor quality. So some members in our forum often translate online resources to introduce famous character and battles in Napoleonic era . Those essay often come from Wikipedia or Napoleon-series ,and I am very sorry that we have already used some articles on virtualarc.com without you permission ...
Now 200 anniversary of 1812 campaign is coming, we want to do something unusual to honour the emperor's most important event in his life, and make more people in our forum or country know who was who in the Napoleonic Wars .Some members have discussed that we may translate the officer biography on your website. We promise this work is completely public welfare and will not be used in any business areas. Will you allow we to do this? PS ： We have found some possible mistakes in the officers biography,such as the birthday of general Josef Zayonchek, the time Savary get his title and the rank of Mouton in 1803.

Hi, thank you for your email! Nice to meet you. I have nothing against you and others translating parts of my site as long as you credit the source and aren't using it for profit. I would appreciate mentioning me as the author and linking back to the page you are translating. You might also want to put the date of the translation on the page, as I may go back and revise a page at a later time. I put together the site to share knowledge and my passion for Napoleonic history, so it is good to know others find it useful.
If there are any officers you or your fellow enthusiasts would like me to work on sooner rather than later, please let me know. My free time to work on the website is limited, but I try to do requested or popular biographies first.
It's possible I made mistakes when I wrote the biographies. It's also possible that my sources are incorrect, as I have found a few errors in those too. I welcome notification of errors and will try to fix them immediately if we are sure it's an error (vs differing sources). What specifically was incorrect? I checked Zayonchek, the website matches what's in my books for his birthdate. For Savary, the website implies he was made Duke of Rovigo in April of 1808, but my books say May of 1808. For Mouton, the website mentions Mouton receiving promotion to chef de brigade, but one of my books say colonel. Does that match what you found for Savary and Mouton or is it something else?
