For shorter periods of time the gunners could operate faster, for longer periods the rate decreased. For example in 1813 at Lutzen, the French artillery fired for 9 hours with the rate of 1 shot in every 3 minutes (12,750 rounds). In the same battle the French Guard artillery fired only for 2 hours. But the rate was 1 shot in every 1.5 minute. The rate was even much faster for 30 minutes period.

波兰人这个数据似乎是根据Nafziger的Lutzen & Bautzen算出来的
该书175-176页
During the battle the French had expended a tremendous volume of artillery. The munition consumption during the battle by corps was:
III Corps 12,150 rounds
IV Corps 110
VI Corps 3,630
XI Corps 2,600
I Cavalry Corps 70
Marchand's Division 5,000
Imperial Guard 5,813
Total 29,373
The Guard artillery had only been on the field from 6:30 to 8:30. During that time each gun fired an average of 50 rounds per hour or nearly one round per minute. Over 1,000,000 infantry cartridges were fired.
大概是按第三军70门火炮12150(不是网页里的12750)发和近卫军58门火炮5813发计算的(火炮数量见该书174页) |
